Africa Trip 2008

WE DID IT!

Our trip to Africa in December to bring our training to the wonderful people of Kenya was a complete success. I just wanted to thank each and every one of you for all your support. Many of you assisted in many ways through financial support, physical resources, emotional support, prayers, thoughts, and kind words of encouragement. There are so many of you who helped out in some manner, and I and all the workers of Kenya are grateful. Because of your help, we were able to train nearly 40 different agencies, organizations and orphanages impacting over an estimated 2,000 children and adolescents. A special thank you to all the organizations and churches that opened their doors, organized events and people, and allowed me to train, while also providing financially. Thanks to all the individuals that were responsible for all the ground work and putting it all together. I am grateful for all your effort and for your wonderful friendship. Another special thanks goes out to the wonderful team that assisted me during my travels. Without you, none of this could have happened.

For the entire week of the training, one major theme prevailed which was “HAKIKA”. Hakika is Swahili, translating into for sure or certain. As we were reminded throughout the week, as well as being reminded throughout our daily lives, is that many things are certain (Hakika), when we are willing to let go of fear and let love reside. When we let go of our fear, relationship, kindness, peace, joy, generosity, harmony, openness, communication, family all are Hakika. When we let go of fear, then Love is certain (Upendo Ni Hakika). So, let us all make love Hakika in all aspects of our lives and all be part of the same family.

As 2009 rolls around, we are already in the planning stages for two more international training events. One trip will take us to South America and the second one will once again take us back to Kenya. If you would like to find out how you can continue to contribute to this effort of bringing the message of healing to unserved populations and workers, please contact our office or just reply to this email. For those of you still interested in training alongside me internationally, please contact me soon as availability is limited. Once again, thank you to everyone who helped to make this work. Together we can make it happen!!! Remember, Upendo Uko Hapa (Love is Here)!

Upendo Ni Hakika,
(Love is Certain)
